What We're Looking For

We are seeking a talented and driven Product Owner to join our dynamic team at equipifi. As a Product Owner you will play a crucial role to help build and expand our BNPL platform. You will influence the roadmap both strategically and tactically, as we continue to expand our BNPL solutions. You will provide leadership from use case identification to requirements definition through post product launch. This role is a challenging but exciting opportunity to be an integral part of a team with high visibility and responsibility within the organization. 

Responsibilities

• Define and refine the BNPL platform, focusing on core and digital banking system integrations
• Partner with the engineering team to identify & translate initiatives into deployable solutions, to ensure healthy, stable, and user-friendly software is delivered
• Contribute to product architecture ensuring systems can interact together seamlessly. 
• Manage the product backlog for Core Banking team
• Collaborate with key internal stakeholders across technology, sales, operations, and key customers to identify and document product gaps
• Turn business success metrics into exceptional product roadmaps
• Turn roadmap capabilities into actionable work for equipifi’s engineering team
• Collaborate with engineers to continue to advance the equipifi BNPL platform driving market penetration
• Develop product documentation including training material and release notes
• Maintain and grow your banking industry knowledge in lending and banking core and digital systems to support the equipifi platform
• Be a vocal leader engineers can lean on for understanding and support through the product development process
• Educate stakeholders on the equipifi BNPL platform uses and functionality
• Collaborate with Sales, including actively participating in customer and prospect diligence requests or calls

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field
• A minimum of 5 to 7 years experience on a product team working with banking core and/or digital platforms
• A unique blend of business and technical savvy, big-picture vision, and a passion for creating solutions all the way from ideation to post-launch
• Strong understanding of all aspects of Lean Product Development and Delivery
• Experience creating and executing user story acceptance criteria
• A proven track record of success in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple competing and often conflicting priorities
• Excellent technical acumen, curiosity, and strong problem-solving skills with a passion for identifying opportunities for improvement
• Proven ability to effectively collaborate and communicate ith both internal and external stakeholders
• Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Experience with Jira, GIT and version management tools and flows
• Experience with MS Excel (power) and other MS Office tools
